Two years after South Indian film industry’s young star couple Amala Paul and AL Vijay had a fairytale wedding on June 12, 2014, the marriage is headed for the rocks, say reports.

According to a report in International Business Times India, “The duo have decided to part ways by mutual consent, the reason being differences in their lifestyles and compatibility issues. They are expected to announce their divorce in a couple of days.”

The couple began dating during the making of ‘Deiva Thirumagal’, a hit film directed by Vijay, which starred Amala Paul.

The couple exchanged vows in a traditional Chettiar wedding in Chennai in the presence of their friends and family.

Amala Paul is currently busy promoting her upcoming Malayalam film, Shajahanum Pareekuttiyum, and Vijay is occupied with his Tamil-Telugu bilingual release Devi, all set to hit the theatres soon.
