Even before hitting the screens, the Rajanikanth starrer Kabali has grossed Rs 200 crore through satellite and distribution rights, film trade analyst Sreedhar Pillai was quoted as saying by India Today.

With distributors battling for rights to the much-anticipated Kabali, theatre rights in Karnataka were reportedly bought for a record price, according to media reports. The film's music album rights have been bought by Sony Music for a mammoth amount.

Kabali will hit over 5000 screens across the world on July 1. The movie will be released in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and Malayalam. A dubbed version in Malay is also on the anvil, hoping to cash in on Rajini-mania in Southeast Asia.

The film's audio was to be released on June 11. However, media reports a week ago said the audio will directly hit the stores on June 12.
