Actor-director Raghava Lawrence, who has already built a temple for Sri Raghavendrar, is to gift his mother a statue of herself. Sources close to the actor say that he is also building a temple dedicated to goddess Gayathri. Beneath the Gayathri statue, he intends to place his mother’s statue, in a meditative posture. Says a source, “The temple, which is opposite the Sri Raghavendrar temple, will be opened within two months. On Mother’s Day, the actor released pictures of the temple and the statue of his mother that is to be kept in the temple.” The actor is believed to have said that he wishes to dedicate this temple to all the mothers of the world.
