Though Atharvaa has a slew of projects in his kitty including Gemini Ganeshanum Suruli Raajanum, Rukkumani Vandi Varudhu, Imaikkaa Nodigal and Semma Botha Aagatha in his kitty, there are rumours that he is likely to do a film with Maniratnam. We hear, if this project gets materialised, it will take off after the director completes Kaatru Veliyidai. However, nothing has been confirmed yet.
Atharvaa has always wanted to work with Mani Ratnam ever since Bala’s Paradesi (2013), as it’s being said that Mani was impressed by the actor’s performance in the film. The bond between the ace filmmaker and Atharvaa’s family goes a long way. His father (the late actor Murali), starred in Maniratnam’s Tamil debut in Tamil titled Pagal Nilavu (1985).
