Didn’t approach Nayanthara yet, says Deekay

We were the first to report that Nayanthara could be cast in Unnai Pol Oruvan (2009) fame Chakri Toleti’s upcoming woman-centric action film. Now, it has been titled Kolaiyuthir Kaalam. On Nayanthara’s birthday, the makers revealed the first look poster on Twitter, which gives us an impression that it would be a murder-mystery thriller. The black and white poster has a tensed Nayanthara with a hand covering her mouth.

Produced by Vashu Bhagnani and Deepshikha Deshmukh, the Tamil-Telugu bilingual, will have music by Yuvan Shankar Raja.

This also marks his first production venture as sources said that he’s the line producer.

However, there is no information regarding the cast and crew. Interestingly, Kolaiyuthir Kaalam is a novel by Sujatha Rangarajan.


On the other hand, it was said that Nayan was approached by director Deekay for his next. When CE contacted him, he said, “I didn’t meet her yet.

Elred Kumar of RS Infotainment and the team, suggested that I write a script for her.

My focus in Kavalai Vendam, which is releasing soon. I’d love to direct Nayanthara. But, I’ll have to write a suitable script and then approach her.”
