Vijay Sethupathi starrer Junga will be high on comedy

Filmmaker Gokul of Kaashmora fame says his upcoming venture, Junga, starring Vijay Sethupathi, will be very different from their earlier outing, Idharkuthane Aasaipattai Balakumara.

Filmmaker Gokul of Kaashmora fame says his upcoming venture, Junga, starring Vijay Sethupathi, will be very different from their earlier outing, Idharkuthane Aasaipattai Balakumara.

He says, “It’s not a sequel to that film, as some have speculated, but a fresh script, a comedy. Sethupathi and I get along well and wanted to work together again as soon as we finished Idharkuthane.” But it didn’t happen immediately, the director says. “He got busy with his projects, and I got occupied with Kaashmora, which took more than two years of my time.”

So, is a sequel to Idharkuthane... on the cards at all? “Well, I haven’t thought about that,” he smiles. We hear Vijay plays a don in Junga, and the story takes his character to Paris. Sayyeshaa is on board as the heroine, and Yogi Babu will be seen playing an important role.

The music is by Siddharth Vipin again and the dance will be choreographed by Raju Sundaram. Meanwhile, Vijay Sethupathi is busy wrapping up Karuppan, which has music by Imman.
