Remember Mir Sarwar, who played the role of Munni’s father in Bajrangi Bhaijaan (2015)? He will be seen playing a pivotal role in Mani Ratnam’s 25th film Kaatru Veliyidai.
It’s unsure if it’s a negative character but we hear that Mani Ratnam was impressed by the actor’s performance in one of his films, and decided to cast him in this romantic thriller.
Kaatru Veliyidai has more names from Bollywood, besides Aditi Rao Hydari, the female lead. A few reports suggest Vipin Sharma, Kannada actor Harish Raj and Dhyana Madan are in the project. However, official announcement is awaited. While Karthi plays the role of a pilot officer, Aditi plays a doctor in the film. Rahman is the music director and cinematographer Ravi Varman handles the camera. RJ Balaji, Shraddha Srinath, Delhi Ganesh, Rukmini Vijayakumar and Malayalam actress Lalitha are also a part of this project.
