Vijay 61 is among the most high-profile films under production now in Tamil cinema. Directed by Atlee and produced by Sri Thenandal Films, the film’s shooting is briskly underway.
A source close to the unit adds, “Shooting will go on till Feb 27. A carnival-like setting has been created by art director Muthuraj.
Vijay has dabbled in a few risky shots himself. After a 10-day break, the crew will be seen shooting the next sequence in Chennai.”
The scenes being shot are set in the 1980s with Vijay sporting in a strikingly thick moustache. Meanwhile, it is heard that Nithya Menen, who replaced Jyothika, is doing an impressive job.
Vijay 61 has Sathyan as the comic attraction incidentally ‘Motta’ Rajendran, a regular in Atlee’s films, isn’t a part of Vijay 61, atleast as yet.
