Gunasekhar’s much-awaited stereoscopic 3D historical film Rudhramadevi has found praise from none other than Baahubali-helmer Rajamouli.

Rajam.jpgRajamouli captured the country’s imagination with his recent magnum opus Baahubali, which turned out to be one of the highest grossing Indian films of all time. The director now has praised the 3D technique used by his compatriot Gunasekhar in Rudhramadevi, as well as the performance by lead actress Anushka Shetty. Even though Rajamouli starts off by praising the film’s trailer, he subtly hints that he has already watched the film and has been impressed by its 3D.

“Latest Hindi trailer from Rudhramadevi is quite impressive. Sweety (Anushka) looks regal. What screen presence. The inside news is that 3D quality is fantastic. Even though I want to watch it in 2D, everyone in my family forced me to watch it in 3D. Guess I have to watch it twice,” Rajamouli posted on Twitter. Directed and Produced by Gunasekhar, Rudhramadevi features an ensemble cast including Anushka Shetty, Rana Daggubati, Allu Arjun and Nithya Menen. To be released in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil and Malayalam, the film is slated to hit screens on October 9.
