Even as he’s receiving accolades from across the Telugu film industry for his performance as Gona Ganna Reddy in Gunasekhar’s 3D historical flick Rudhramadevi, actor Allu Arjun is shooting at a fast pace for his upcoming film Saronaidu.

Bunny.jpgAccording to sources, the makers of the film, directed by Boyapati Sreenu are looking to release the film in February 2016, and that the script has a  political undertone to it.

“Earlier, the makers were looking at a summer release for this film but things are progressing at a brisk pace and the film could hit screens as early as February. The fact that lead actors Allu Arjun and Rakul Preet have confirmed that the film’s title as Saronaidu is an indication that promotions for the film has already began. We can expect more events to unfold very quickly,” said a source from the film’s unit.

In a departure from stereotypical projection of women, sources also reveal that actress Catherine Tresa will play the role of a powerful politician in the film. “Catherine is playing an MLA and has a strong character in the film. The shooting is taking place in Hyderabad and while it’s too early to reveal what it is about, the film will be a commercial entertainer and will have all the ingredients to make for a blockbuster,” the source added.

Allu Arjun has emerged as Tollywood’s leading stars after the 2014 blockbuster Race Gurram and with a power-packed performance in Rudhramadevi, his status has been further elevated in Tollywood’s filmy circles.
