Prabhas to Play Baddie in Dhoom 4?

Prabhas has been approached to play the coveted role of the antagonist in Dhoom 4 under Yash Raj Films Productions, reveal sources.

The astronomical success of SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus Baahubali:The Beginning has catapulted Tollywood’s very own Prabhas into the big leagues. The actor, who plays the lead character in the epic multi-starrer has been flooded with Bollywood offers including the coveted role of an antagonist in the upcoming edition of Yash Raj Films’ hit series Dhoom.

The latest buzz according to industry insiders is that Prabhas has been approached to play the villain in Dhoom 4 and that the Tollywood star is mulling over it.

“Aditya Chopra and director Vijay Krishna Acharya had requested for a special screening of Baahubali. They were highly impressed with Prabhas’ performance and thought of casting him for Dhoom 4,” revealed a source in the know.

The villain is given a lot of prominence in the Dhoom series and the makers were looking for someone who is tall, bulky and yet has a unique sense of charm to him. “They thought Prabhas fits the bill and have approached him for it. However, Prabhas is yet to take a call whether to give the nod or not,” the source added.

In a recent interview, Prabhas, who signed his first ever brand endorsement with Mahindra, admitted that he’s been receiving offers from Bollywood but is focused completely on the upcoming Baahubali: The Conclusion.

“Yes, I have been getting a lot of Bollywood offers but all my time will be dedicated toBaahubali 2 and I haven’t signed any new projects. I’m glad I’m popular, people recognise wherever I go, but it’s too early to be called a national star,” he said.

The dubbed Hindi version of Baahubali also turned out to be a huge success and the film got off to a historic television debut after it was aired on Sony Max on Sunday.
