With a title like Bruce Lee and a teaser (launched on Chiranjeevi’s birthday) showcasing a rugged looking Ram Charan bashing up goons with effortless ease, one would’ve expected Srinu Vaitla’s upcoming film to be an out-and-out action film. However, a special teaser of Bruce Lee, which was unveiled on Pawan Kalyan’s birthday, depicted the film as a typical family entertainer.
Rakul Preet, who plays the female lead in the film, introduces Ram Charan to her typically large family, which is a common feature in most of Srinu Vaitla’s films, including Dhee, Ready, Dookudu and Baadshah.
After a string of mediocre films since his debut film Magadeera, Ram Charan is in desperate need of a blockbuster and with heavy doses of action and family sentiment, Bruce Lee looks like it has all the makings of a commercial potboiler.
