Oscars 2019 red carpet fashion: Our favourite looks from a night of pink and bling

The fashion on display at the Oscars this year saw everything from a 128.54 carat Tiffany diamond to a dress made of 42 pounds of gold. Everybody's favourite Lady Gaga went old Hollywood and wore a structural black gown by Alexander McQueen at the Oscars.Gaga's yellow bauble, weighing in at 128.54 carats, is a 142-year-old diamond from a South Africa mine. It is one of the world's largest yellow diamonds and rarely worn. Gaga's diamond was previously worn in 1957 and by Audrey Hepburn in 1961 publicity photos for 'Breakfast at Tiffany's.' (Photo | AP)

Billy Porter deserves an award of his own for slaying in a custom black velvet tuxedo and a tuxedo ball gown combined, by Christian Siriano. The ensemble featured silk lapels, white ruffled sleeves, a black bow tie, and a voluminous ball skirt. (Photo | AP)

'Tom Ford famously only dresses one star every season on the red carpet. When it comes to rocking a mirrored metallic sheath, no one could possibly work the look more elegantly right than Jennifer Lopez,' said People's Lavinthal. And rock she did! It was a parade of pink on the red carpet with everyone looking like they took a leaf from Villanelle's look book from Killing Eve. It came in a variety of shades, from a honeysuckle pink lace gown by Jenny Packham worn by declutter guru Marie Kondo (she has a Netflix series) to the tiered confection donned by Kacey Musgraves, by Giambattista Valli Couture.
