Violence mars Kashmir Valley again as students clash with security over Pulwama row

Several student group agitated against the the 'brutality' perpetrated by the police on students of Degree College in Pulwama on Saturday in which at least 60 students were injured. Trouble began when a group of students took out a rally near Sri Pratap (SP) College in the vicinity of Lal Chowk against the Pulwama incident, triggering clashes between the students and the security forces, officials said. The police fired teargas shells and resorted to lathi-charge to drive away the protesting students who indulged in stone-pelting and other violent measures to fight them. (Photo | AFP)
