Chennai rains : A thermocol boat ride, concerned mother and many waterlogged roads!

The Chennai Corporation has kept 52 boats and 507 water pumps in readiness.
Oh to be kids! For this brother and sister duo locked in earnest conversation on a waterlogged road at  Rajaji Nagar, Thiruvotriyur it might have been a fun-filled thermocol boat ride, but at least for the man ferrying them across it was an avoidable experience. With the rains lashing many parts of the city again and with a red alert out, many low-lying areas in Chennai are preparing for the worst. The regional meteorological centre had said the well-marked low-pressure area over southeast Bay of Bengal will first concentrate into a depression and then move west–northwestwards and reach near north Tamil Nadu coast by early morning of November 11.
