HYDERABAD: An underpass between Biodiversity Park and Cyber Tower and a flyover from Radisson to Durgam Cheruvu side at the Mind Space Junction in Phase-I of Strategic Road Development Plan (SRDP) will be completed by June next year. An underpass at Ayyappa Society Junction will be completed by the end of this year and a flyover at Rajiv Gandhi Statue Junction from Majestic Shopping Mall to Malaysian Township by June next year.
The first-level flyover from Gachibowli side to Mehidipatnam side and the second-level flyover from Mehidipatnam side to Kukatpally side will be completed by December 2018, Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation chief engineer (projects) R Sreedhar said during an inspection of SRDP works here on Tuesday.
Construction of flyovers, skyways, elevated corridors and multi-level grade separators will be taken up in four phases as part of SRDP to improve traffic and usher in signal-free traffic system. An amount of `20,000 crore was allocated for the project, which will also envisage improvement of 366 corridors and 54 junctions in the city.
