Politician HM Revanna’s son Anup made his mark in Sandalwood with Lakshmana and followed it up with his second film Panta. The film directed by S Narayan is now geared up for a release soon.
Meanwhile, the actor has packed his bags to travel abroad for a filmmaking course. “I have joined for a three-month course at New York Film Academy, which starts in a few days,” he says.
Anup decided to take up this course in order to educate himself on the Hollywood style of filmmaking.
“I was told that we have to do a lot of project work including shorts film and theatre among other activities. I will be working on the story board, be part of the pre-production work and will be also searching for a producer. I want to experience all this processes. This allows me to make comparisons and is also a learning opportunity,” he says.
The actor also feels that a course will help him build confidence. “I don’t want to limit myself to a certain role. I want to be versatile and hopefully my interaction with a lot of people out there will enable me to build my confidence,” says Anup, adding,
“I wanted to do this course before I got into acting. But, I didn’t get a chance then. I realised that this is either a now or never situation and hence, am heading to New York this weekend.”
