Woman in Meti CD claims she was abducted

The woman who was seen in a compromising position with then minister H Y Meti in a CD that led to his resignation claimed that she was abducted.

BENGALURU: The woman who was seen in a compromising position with then minister H Y Meti in a CD that led to his resignation claimed that she was abducted. On Thursday, she filed a petition with the DG&IGP claiming she was abducted for over seven months and was released after Meti got a clean chit in the case.

In her complaint she said, “I was being sexually assaulted many times, but I did not complain as I was threatened. After the investigation were handed over to CID, I was summoned for questioning on January 30. On the previous night, some followers of the former minister came to me and gave a questionnaire to which they made me to answer. On the next day, when I appeared before CID officials they did not ask me anything about the sexual assault and sent me back. After sometime in May, media reports said Meti was given a clean chit in the case.”

“After the incident came to light in December 2016, I was abducted and my family was threatened. I was released in June. Even now we are being threatened,” the complaint reads.

Yeddyurappa’s PA questioned

CID on Thursday quizzed Santosh, the personal assistant of BJP state president B S Yeddyurappa, in connection with former minister H Y Meti’s alleged sex CD case. CID officials said he was in contact with Rajashekar Mulali, a social activist who allegedly leaked the CD. Sources said though Santhosh agreed he knew Mulali, he denied any role in the case.
