KOCHI: In a tragic incident, a 19-year-old youth, who was thrown off his bike after being hit by another motorcycle,died on Tuesday when a lorry ran over him at Pezhakkappilly near Muvattupuzha.
Bilal of Kochuveetil, a native of Moolamattom in Idukki residing near Ilahia Arts College, Pezhakkappilly,was identified as the deceased. Following the accident that occurred around 2.30 pm on the MC Road, the victim was rushed to a nearby hospital. But his life could not be saved.
Bilal’s body was later shifted to Kolenchery Medical College Hospital mortuary for conducting postmortem.
According to police, a motorcycle coming from the opposite direction hit the one driven by Bilal, who was proceeding to Muvattupuzha side.In the ensuing impact,he was thrown onto the road.
