KOCHI: Eloor Police on Monday registered a case against eight environmental activists for obstructing a village officer while preparing a report on pollution in the Periyar, near Pathalam regulator-cum-bridge. The activists were staging protest against the authorities, in the wake of discolouration of the river water due to industrial pollution. Kerala Pollution Control Board officials had collected water samples from the river for chemical examination.
