The composition of a poem is the manifestation of feelings via thoughts via words onto paper. In other words, it is the conveyance of ordinary words into other, more poetic words, while at the same time confronting the reader with the process of re-establishing the origin of induced emotions.

Ankit Mishra’s poetry collection ‘Threads of Trust’ is a manifestation of an ordinary person’s life to discover love, sensuality, separation, and himself. Each poem lingers in the duality of life between the erotic and exotic, the lost and the aware, the breaking and the healing, and the life and the death itself.

Ankit published his debut book, Out of {b}Order – A journey beyond borders, in 2016. Since then, he has published his poems in multiple international anthologies and in more than three languages.

Ontario Canada-based, Ankit received his bachelor’s engineering degree from Lucknow, and is currently working as a technologist for a Miami-based firm. In addition to being a prolific writer, Ankit is a photographer, and spends his time visualising the poetry of the world beyond words.

He passionately follows the philosophy of Rumi and believes in his maxim, “What you seek is seeking you”. Ankit actively writes on social media under the pen name “DrunkardPoett”.
