Saipriya, who runs the eat out along with Mahendran, says the wanderlust in her inspires her variety in eating habits. If the Mango lassi was inspired following a visit to north India, there are dishes suggestive of Mexican influences. The Power Builders, anti oxidants, lime and lemony are the result of her untiring experimentation with tastes, especially the last, which is a heady mix of lemon and orange, leaving a sourness after every sipful of sweetness.
There’s an ample choice for starters besides sandwiches and pastas. With cooks being picked from different ethnicities, you can be assured of authentic treatments. A sumptuous thali is also served for lunch. The Paan Ice Cream is one of the store’s hot sellers, bringing together the tastes of two of choicest after meal options: the paan and the ice cream. The Paan Ice Cream is a scoop of vanilla with all ingredients of the meetha paan thorn in, with chopped beetel leaves to garnish.
“With more people getting health conscious, our power builders and anti oxidants are a big hit. But they’re not just healthy, they’re made tasty too,” explains Saipriya, who has been running Sampoorna Catering Foods for events, until this outlet was launched last month. It is situated at the Bye pass Road, Near SBI, Gurunanak College signal Velachery, and is open between 11 am to 10 pm.
