Living in the capital often reminds many of the various tastes that Orissa offers through the special delicacies of each district. It’s the Chinese fast food or other Indian snacks which do not belong to the State that denizens suffice with. But who can forget the Anandpur Chenna Muduki or the Nayagarh Chenna Poda; the Tangi Chenna Kakara or the Balasore Khira gaja if tasted once. Well then, foodies may get ready to taste these and more at the snack festival being launched today at hotel Suryansh.

The festival named after the much loved Oriya song of Tansen, ‘Aama Raja Babu Ghara Khana’ offers as many as 15 items from all over Orissa including Dahibara from Cuttack, Baripada Mudhi Mansha, Sambalpur Sarasatia, Salepur Rasagola, Manika Patna Basa Dahi, Dhenkanal Biribara Ghoogooni, Kendrapada Rasabali, etc.

Starting from 3 pm to 8 pm every day till March 12, the special menu of the food fest is the delicious Saru Chakuli and Mansha tarakari at Rs 50 per plate while all other snacks come for Rs 25 a plate. It indeed seems a nice chance to taste food from every corner of Orissa.
