Dr A V Srinivasan, an Emeritus professor from MGR Medical University was elected as the president of the Indian Academy of Neurology (IAN).
The results of the election was announced during the 23rd annual meeting of IAN held in Agra.
Srinivasan holds a number of merits in the field of Neurology where he is the only doctor in Tamil Nadu government service to be awarded Fellowship in UK, USA and INDIA.
Other accolades include: first Indian to receive AINA Award in USA during the Annual meeting of American Academy of
Neurology, holds honorary D.Sc degree apart from completing his P.hD., MBBS, M D DM from Madras Medical College.
