Dragon’s breath is the central theme of Chinese Fengshui, which can also be related to Prana, or shakthi of the Indian System This is nothing but energy. It is a symbolic reference for the energy to swirl around the environment. It is also referred to as life force and Chinese calls it “CHI”

The energy flow in a house and should never be stagnating. And has the same effect of a clogged sewage pipe which could be quite unhealthy and annoying too. Improper flow of energy in a home with wrong positioning of doors and windows also causes sickness and lack of prosperity .

“CHI” the life breath energy is the all-important factor in harmonizing the space. We must ensure there is space for energy to meander and flow and not stagnate nor should it quickly flow out of the building. Hence proper placement and orientation of doors, windows and even balconies are quite essential.

Most often the Main door has a large window or a balcony directly opposite which causes the energy coming into the home to make a fast exit. In apartments this is a common situation as the large bay window or the balcony is most often in line with the main door. Balconies in different rooms do not get affected but balconies in a straight line to the main door do cause problems. You can slow down the flow of chi by adapting simple yet effective methods:-

Place a divider or a screen to such that it impedes the rapid flow of energy out through the window or balcony

Suspend a wind chime to slow down the flow and in turn generate harmonics pleasing to the occupants.

Tall green healthy plants placed staggered along both sides of the perceived path of the energy flow would also help.
