Influenced by the Evos Concept, the much-awaited 2015 Ford Mustang has been officially revealed and will go on sale with right-hand drive in certain markets for the first time in more than four decades.

The new car is powered by a 2.3-litre turbo-charged four-cylinder EcoBoost engine. The 5.0-litre V8 is the carried-over and the base 3.7-litre V6 is unchanged. With an extremely sharp design, the new car sits on 19-inch wheels and is lighter and stiffer.

The double-wing dashboard style of the 1964 and 2004 cars remains. The six-speed manual and auto transmissions are unaltered, too, which means optional steering wheel-mounted paddles are also retained. With a starting tag of $50,000, will the new Mustang create history or be history?
