On mission decongestion

Ever tried accessing a website on a mobile phone or a tablet on a congested cellular or WiFi network? I have news for you. It is only going to get worse as more and more get on the mobile Internet bandwagon. But don’t fear. As they say, ‘cometh the connectivity problem, cometh the man’. Manav Mital is that man. He is the CEO and co-founder of Instart Logic, the company that provides cloud-based website performance enhancement at the ‘last mile’ of delivery on mobile or WiFi networks. Mital has a B.Tech degree in computer science from the Indian Institute of Technology at Kanpur, and an M.S in the same discipline from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). At the beginning of his career, he worked in the anti-virus group of Microsoft, after which he worked as a teaching assistant teaching undergraduate computer science class on automata theory, while a master’s student at UCLA. After working at Yahoo as a software engineer on the Yahoo! Search Indexer group, and as a software development manager at Aster Data on their database and ecosystem team in 2010, Mital quit to found his own company Instart Logic in 2010. After being in the stealth mode for the last two years, Instart Logic has announced that it has finally secured $26 million of funding from such notable investors as Greylock partners and is planning to take the wraps off its product that will speed up any website’s performance.
