Imgur is one of the world’s most popular photo hosting and sharing websites. With the success of Facebook and Instagram on mobile phones, Imgur is catching up and competing for eye balls on the tiny smartphone screens. It is working towards its goal under the leadership of first vice-president (in-charge of product) Ajay Arora.
Arora has a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electrical Engineering from the McMaster University in Ontario, Canada, and also holds a Master of Science degree in the same discipline from the University of Southern California. He is also an MBA from the Harvard Business School with a special emphasis on technology and entrepreneurship. Having started the career as a system design engineer at Motorola, Arora has experience of working as a senior engineer and product manager at companies like Cisco Systems and Vulcan Inc. Arora joined the popular audiobook company Audible as a Director of Product Management on Mobile and was working as a vice-president in charge of Global Product Management when he left for Imgur. Now in Imgur, he has the very unenviable task of taking on Facebook.
