Crazy about slip-ons but tired of the Gommino? How about a sneaker from Bottega Veneta? Borrowing from its male footwear style, the Italian logo-less brand has launched its first-ever line of sneakers for women. Blending Bottega’s signature intrecciato motif with Nappa leather, the ‘Made in Italy’ sneaker collection has a fuss-free, contemporary feel. To guarantee user comfort, the designers have put in leather insoles and rubber platforms. There are only two colours available for now– shiny black and matte white, both eminently edgy with tonal stitching. The sneakers, true to the Bottega ethos, have refined lines and detailed feminine proportions. As of now, the sneakers are available online and in select Bottega boutiques. The India store is not among them as yet. Sadly.
