NEW DELHI: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister K Rosaiah on Tuesday met senior leaders of the Congress party and is understood to have explained the current political situation in the state, besides organisational matters.

Incidentally, three important leaders from Andhra Pradesh — Rosaiah, Leader of the Opposition and TDP President Chandrababu Naidu and PRP leader Chiranjeevi — landed in the national capital and had deliberations separately with various leaders.

Although Rosaiah made it clear that he had not come to Delhi to complain against Kadapa MP Jaganmohan Reddy, from the airport, he straight away drove to meet Union Defence Minister and AICC disciplinary committee chairman A K Antony to discuss organisational issues. Sources said that Congress leadership do not like to take any decision on Jaganmohan Reddy either way for the time being.

Later, Rosaiah met Union Law Minister and charge of party affairs in the state Veerappa Moily. He also met Union Home Minister Chidambaram and political secretary to Congress president Ahmed Patel before leaving for Hyderabad. During his meeting with Chidambaram, Rosaiah raised the issue of finding an early solution to the free zone issue as soon as possible.

He told reporters that he had not met Congress president Sonia Gandhi and that he did not discuss the issue of Cabinet expansion with party leaders.

Meanwhile, PRP leader Chiranjeevi met Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and discussed various state issues, including declaring national status to Pollavaram project. Emerging out of the meeting with the Prime Minister, Chiranjeevi said that on many issues, there was no proper coordination between the state and Central Government. He said that the Prime Minister assured to discuss with the concerned people on Polavaram project. Chiranjeevi made it clear that his visit to Delhi has nothing to do with Congress politics.

During the day, TDP President Chandrababu Naidu had closeted with leaders of non-Congress and non-BJP parties to discuss various national issues.
