A radio kept in an abandoned bagclose to the Assam secretariat here created bomb scare amongpeople but explosive experts, after examining, declared itharmless, police said.
The bag with the radio was found lying at a roadoutside Bhrigu Market in the busy Ganeshguri area, followingwhich the police cordoned off the area, they said.
Bomb experts rushed to the spot and after examination,it was found harmless.
The area, barely half-a-kilometre from the statesecretariat, had witnessed blast during the serial explosionsthat rocked the state on October 30, 2008 in which over 100people died.
