Two abducted teachers killed in Jharkhand

The bodies of two Jharkhand teachers, who were abducted by unidentified men Monday, were found in Latehar district Friday, police here said.

The bodies of Jagal Sahu and Satyendra Tiwari were found in the Masiatu forest near Balumath town of Latehar, around 130 km from here. The teachers were shot dead, a police official said.

They were abducted from Bhandaria town in Gumla district, 110 km from here Dec 10. According to police, the abductors had demanded Rs.25 lakh from their family members to release the teachers.

Police did not rule out the involvement of Maoists in the abduction.
