Anisur apologises publicly, criticises Mamata government

CPI-M leader Anisur Rehman todaypublicly apologised for his obscene remarks against WestBengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee while also criticisingher government's spending.

"I apologise for the indecent and unparliamentary commentsI had made against chief minister at a meeting at Itahar inNorth Dinajpur district," he told during a party meeting here.

The former minister said, "I had apologised earlier in astatement but now I am apologising publicly."

Anisur, however, criticised the Trinamool Congress-rungovernment saying, "the chief minister continues to speakabout the funds crunch in the state while the salaries of theministers are increased."

He said that the present regime was also holdingentertainment bashes with filmstars like Shahrukh Khan andAmitabh Bachchan.

The CPI-M leader also claimed that the chief ministerwould need five years to inaugurate the developmental projectsstarted during the earlier Left Front regime.
