BJP leader alleges threat to life

NEW DELHI: Former BJP general secretary (organisation) and now the party in-charge of UP elections, Sanjay Joshi, has received anonymous threats to his life, which were intimated to the police

NEW DELHI: Former BJP general secretary (organisation) and now the party in-charge of UP elections, Sanjay Joshi, has received anonymous threats to his life, which were intimated to the police.

According to Joshi, he had received an anonymous letter and a couple of calls on his mobile from an unidentified caller, who asked him to leave ‘to leave Uttar Pradesh for good.’

“I received the calls some one-and-a-half months ago, following which I reported the matter to the Delhi Police,” the BJP leader told the Express.

A team from the special cell of the Delhi Police as well as officials from the Home Ministry (MHA), called on Joshi to discuss the matter. As of now, the BJP leader has not been provided any security cover.
