NEW DELHI: The BJP has launched a fresh offensive against the Congress over the Batla House encounter row, demanding clarifications  from the Prime Minister and the Congress president on the issue. BJP spokespersons Ravi Shankar Prasad and Prakash Javadekar wanted to know if Digvijay Singh was speaking the mind of the party. “If the Home Minister says the Batla House encounter was genuine then how did Digvijay Singh term it fake in the presence of Rahul Gandhi (in Azamgarh on Wednesday),” BJP chief spokesperson Ravi Shankar Prasad said. “Here’s a Congress leader demoralising the police force and giving morale booster to the terrorists. Let the Prime Minister speak up and tell the nation about the facts of the encounter,” said Javadekar.
