PORT BLAIR: Andaman and Nicobar police has registered a case against unknown persons in Jarawa video case and has started investigation to find out who had actually shot the video.

The case has been registered in Bambooflat police station, South Andaman region, as Jarawa Territory of South Andaman comes under, its  jurisdiction.

“Nothing is substantial till now, but we investigating and trying to find out who had shot this video and when,” S P Tyagi, Superintendent of Police, South Andaman, said on Thursday.

Since the video tape, showing half-naked Jarawa girls dancing at Andaman Trunk Road (ATR), surfaced there has been tremendous pressure on the police to nab those who had made them dance for food.

“We spoke to the officials of Andaman Adim Janjati Vikas Samity (AAJVS) who identified all Jarawa girls, who are grown-up know. This clearly proves that the video was shot long long back,” a senior police officer told Express on anonymity.

The police have also gathered information about a foreign national who have been asking for the video clip from people.
