NEW DELHI: Officials posted in the CBI’s anti-corruption and economic offences units have cornered the maximum number of medals announced for distinguished and meritorious services on the eve of the Republic Day on Wednesday. Last year, the CBI on the directions of a court cracked several high-profile corruption and economic offences, including the 2G scam. Among the 24 medal winners is Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) S S Giri, who is probing into instances of illegal mining in Karnataka.
