Medical, Engineering admission racket busted

The CBI has arrested two persons here for their alleged involvement in arranging fraudulent admissions in various medical and engineering colleges. 

CBI sources said that Arun Goel, a local private medical practitioner, approached  Irshad Pasha alias Amir Kapoor, who is running an institute -- Asian Academy, for getting his son Nayan, admitted to a BDS course in a Delhi-based university.

Pasha in collusion with Goel arranged an admission for Nayan by ‘making’ a dummy candidate appear for the written examination on June 9.  The CBI team nabbed Nayan and Pasha on Wednesday while the former was paying a sum of Rs 20 lakh, for irregular admission, to the latter.
