The CBI has arrested two persons here for their alleged involvement in arranging fraudulent admissions in various medical and engineering colleges.
CBI sources said that Arun Goel, a local private medical practitioner, approached Irshad Pasha alias Amir Kapoor, who is running an institute -- Asian Academy, for getting his son Nayan, admitted to a BDS course in a Delhi-based university.
Pasha in collusion with Goel arranged an admission for Nayan by ‘making’ a dummy candidate appear for the written examination on June 9. The CBI team nabbed Nayan and Pasha on Wednesday while the former was paying a sum of Rs 20 lakh, for irregular admission, to the latter.
