CCTVs soon at Tirumala

The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) is planning to install a comprehensive closed circuit television camera network at Tirumala hills covering all important and vulnerable places like the temple and Annadanam complex soon at an estimated cost of Rs 35 crore, said LV Subramanyam, executive officer.

The temple administration decided that better vigilance is needed following the abduction of a baby from Tirumala. All the TTD employees will be eligible for medical reimbursement for treatment at any hospital in the country in an emergency or on reference by TTD or SVIMS Hospital doctor, he said. The decision will come into effect immediately, he said.
