NEW DELHI: The Delhi unit of the Congress is all set to knock at the doors of the State Election Commission (SEC) against BJP Delhi unit spokesperson Dr Sambit Patra.  Congress councillor Ajeet Singh alleged that Patra had been drawing salary from a hospital run by the municipal corporation of Delhi.

Singh stated that a delegation of the Congress party would call upon Lieutenant Governor Tejendra Khanna and the SEC to seek disqualification of Patra in municipal election.  He said that Patra had been actively working for the BJP for the past 18 months and been regularly drawing salary and allowances from Swami Dayanand Hospital situated at Dilshaad Garden in Delhi. It is learnt that Patra is claimant of a BJP ticket from a constituency under the North MCD, Singh said.
