MUMBAI: Stating that his party was hurt by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's comments, Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar said Tuesday his party never objected to any policy decision.

While speaking in parliament Monday, Manmohan Singh had referred to challenges a coalition government faces while making policies and taking other decisions. "The NCP is a disciplined party, we respect the coalition dharma," Pawar told reporters here.

Pawar said he was pained by the prime minister's comment and called it "appalling". "We felt hurt and my feelings are limited to my party. I have not spoken to PM on it. My party MPs expressed their displeasure over PM's statement and it has sent a wrong message," he added.
