City-based IPL betting kingpin Kitty alias Uttam C Jain used over 50 SIM cards to get in touch with his clients and and other bookies, the CB-CID has learnt during his custodial interrogation.
Sources said the CB-CID top brass were personally questioning Kitty during the night. Most of the intense custodial interrogations were being carried out between 11 pm and 3 am.
Kitty also admitted to have run a welfare association for the bookies in the city and had been assisting the members on running the betting rings. Sources said the SIM cards that were used by Kittty were reportedly being sourced from a single person who was operating out of Bengaluru.
Kitty’s main occupation was betting in which he was successful and reportedly often shifted his office from one place to another. He would close down his operations once the IPL season was over and would cater to his premium customers based on their demand during the other matches as well.
