Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt finally shifted to the Yerwada prison in Pune on Wednesday early morning. After the actor surrendered before the TADA court here on May 16, he was temporarily lodged at the Arthur Road Jail, where he was assigned an isolation cell.

The prison and the police authorities had kept the decision to move Dutt to Yerwada prison in Pune a closely guarded secret. The episode of Dutt’s journey from his residence to the TADA court here, escorted by media, was still fresh in the minds of authorities. It took him 30 minutes to get out of his car  to get to the court. It was at 4 am on Wednesday the prison authorities handed Dutt to the Police, who took him to the Yerwada prison, about 120 km away in Pune.
