34 French tourists injured in accident in Jodhpur

Thirty-four French tourists were today injured, four of them seriously, when a bus carrying them collided with a truck and overturned here.

The bus carrying the tourists had left from a resort in Marugarh here when it met with the accident, police said.

"The moment the bus reached a point near a school on the bypass here, it was hit by a truck from the opposite direction and overturned", they said.

Locals rushed to the spot and rescued the injured.

The injured were rushed to the MDM Hospital here.

"Out of the 34 tourists, four are seriously injured," a doctor at the hospital said, adding the remaining 30 have sustained minor injuries.
