NEW DELHI: In a bid to take the sting out of the Opposition campaign against junior minister Niranjan Jyoti, the BJP will resort to carpet bombing with its MPs on Monday holding as many as 100 rallies in the national capital.
“On Monday, Delhi is going to witness something never attempted before. The BJP MPs are going to address around 100 public meetings to spread the message of the party , Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti is also going to address 3 meeting in the capital,” BJP media cell chief, Praveen Shankar Kapur told Express.
By bringing Jyoti back to campaign, after cancelling her rallies following her offensive statement, the party is sending a message to the people that it is not going to ditch its Dalit face. The party had been planning to hold these meetings for some time and initially 30 MPs were to address the meetings on Thursday. But it was postponed and rescheduled for Friday,which also did not happen.
