CHANDIGARH: A notice for violation of Model Code of Conduct has been issued to yesteryear actress Sharmila Tagore and her actor-son Saif Ali Khan for organising a cocktail party at Pataudi palace without obtaining prior permission from the state Election Commission.
On the direction of Ajai Shankar Pandey, election observer for the Pataudi Assembly constituency, Returning Officer-cum-Sub Divisional Magistrate, Pataudi, Virender Chaudhary, issued the notice to Sharmila and Saif.
They have been accused of using loudspeakers, DJ and organising a cocktail party in Pataudi Mahal on Friday evening without obtaining specific permission from the competent authority, and asked to explain their conduct before 3 pm on Tuesday.
According to the directions of the Election Commission, the Model Code of Conduct will remain in force in Haryana up to October 22.
