NEW DELHI: The Bezbaruah Committee, examining the concerns of people from the northeastern states living in other parts of India, submitted its report to the union home ministry, an official statement said Friday.

The committee, headed by M.P. Bezbaruah, was set up by the home ministry after Nido Tania, a 19-year-old student from Arunachal Pradesh, was beaten to death in Delhi in January.

Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Kiren Rijiju, who received the report, said the report would be processed on priority.
