BHOPAL: Despite Madhya Pradesh government refusing to grant the nod for a CBI inquiry into the multi-crore Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board (MPPEB) scam, it appears that the premier investigation agency has already started its probe into the high-profile case.
As part of this, the CBI has sent a communique to the office of the dean of the Gwalior- based Gajra Raje Medical College(GRMC)asking to furnish details of certain medical students and graduates, who had passed out from the college between 2003-2010.
According to Dean, Dr G S Patel, his office had received a fax from CBI DSP, N K Thakur seeking details of certain graduates of the Class of 2004 and all the MBBS students, who belonged to the Class of 2010.
“The Shimla unit of the CBI had sought details of four GRMC pass outs, Gaurav Gupta, Rahul Yadav, Shubham Lavania and Neha Jain, of 2003-04 batch. They had also asked for the list of MBBS pass outs of 2009-10 batch. In the communique, the agency has asked for information related to their admission, mark-sheets, allotment letters etc,” Patel said.
These students had secured admission to the college after appearing in the Pre-medical Test conducted by the MPPEB.
Further, Patel revealed that the college had already submitted the information sought by the probe agency.
