Two youths were crushed to death and two other injured when a truck of Military Engineering Services hit their car in Udhampur district today.
19-year-old Yuvraj Singh died on the spot while Manoj Kumar (20) died while being taken to a hospital, police said adding, that both were natives of Bihar.
A woman and her child were left injured in the accident and are hospitalised, they said.
Police officials said that the MES truck, which was on its way from Udhampur to Dhar road area, had a break failure and the driver lost control over the vehicle subsequently hitting their car and then the passersby on the road.
The driver of the truck was detained by police for probe and case has been registered in this regard, they added.
