The Supreme Court on Friday ordered a probe by the Central Bureau of Investigation into the multi-crore Saradha chit fund scam in West Bengal, Odisha and Assam.
The court asked CBI to conduct probe against Saradha company in West Bengal and 44 other firms of Odisha which were allegedly involved in chit fund scams.
The top court also directed the police in West Bengal, Odisha and Assam to cooperate with the CBI and provide all details of the cases to the agency.
